Baby Boomers who struggle with math still fondly remember a Walt Disney classic shown in countless schoolrooms from 1959 onward: "Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land". Today there are two ways to make pictures using computers: lines or dots. Images made with dots are known as "bit maps". Images created from vectors rely on mathematical formulas that use lines and curves to determine shapes. In other words, it's geometry translated into computer language!

Now the cool part is if you combine vector graphics with a creative commons licence is that you have a whole heap of legal images available to use for your graphic design projects.
